About me

I am a wife, mother, and veteran with a passion to serve my community.

I grew up in Northern California and have spent the last decade living in Tennessee. My passion has always been to help others. In high school I volunteered at a café whose mission focused on anti-human trafficking causes and, through the Speech and Debate Team, I advocated for awareness regarding the issues plaguing the Democratic Republic of Congo. This led me to earn my Associates in Intelligence Operations, a Bachelors in Political Science, and a Masters in International Security. After graduation, I served in the US military at Fort Campbell, KY. When my time in the military ended, I shifted my focus to other ways to serve my community. I currently volunteer with the county 4H Shooting Sports Program to help children develop archery skills, I’m involved with the SFRG on Fort Campbell, I enjoy helping out in our schools, and recently started volunteering as an RSO at the local shooting range. Someone once told me I was born with “a servant’s heart,” and I believe that is what we should look for in our leaders. I believe that our community is strengthened by those willing to offer their time and service to others where they can.

My greatest work is in raising my children. They are my driving force behind representing my district on the School Board. I want to ensure my children, their friends, and those within our community are receiving the best education they can in a safe and healthy learning environment. Through our experience, and those shared with me, there are common themes regarding where we can improve our community and school system. The ones most often cited are: student and teacher safety, foundational skills such as phonics, writing, and critical thinking, and the impact of technology in schools. These are areas I would address as an elected member of the School Board with input from our community, teachers, and our SROs.
